How to Get Old Grease Stains Out of Clothes

I bought a new short sleeve shirt and I don't know how in the world I did it but I got grease on it. I figured, "Oh well that's the end of that." So for a long time I only wore it around the house even though I liked the color of it and found the shirt flattering. Simply because of that old grease stain that wouldn't come out no matter how many times I laundered it. Well I decided to Google stain treatments that are cost effective. I stumbled upon an idea to use dish soap on the stain. It makes sense because it gets grease off of pots and pans. So I squirted some dish soap on the shirt and rubbed it in the grease stain. Then I laundered it and put it in the dryer. To my surprise the grease stain was gone. I had to share this with you guys. Now I can wear my shirt as often as I want and don't worry about spilling oil on it anymore. :)

A Really Difficult Day

My uncle was so funny. Here he is with a piece of food in his nose! LOL!
Today is a difficult day for me. Today would have been my uncle's birthday except he is no longer with us. I don't know how to deal with the loss of him. He was bigger than life. My uncle battled with being overweight. Towards the end of his life he became morbidly obese. This became a family secret. He didn't want others to know about how he looked. Childhood friends/acquaintances etc. He didn't go out with us when we had family get togethers out in public. He stayed to himself a lot of the time. Although I understood him feeling that way I was not ashamed of him. I feel like it's the outside world that needs to get over themselves. I myself know how hurtful people can be to plus sized people. After the birth of my two kids my weight ballooned. I remember looking at some plus sized clothing (of course all the way in the back of the store because for some reason regular sized clothing stores are ashamed to show plus sized clothes). News flash fashion industry the average woman is a size 14 and up! Get over yourselves!!! Some stupid kids passed by and yelled out, "Oh this is the fat chicks section! LOL!" I remember feeling hurt. Here I was a supposed "fat chick". People can be so cruel. They focus so much on the outer appearance but neglect the inner man. My uncle was amazing. He was hilariously funny, talented and although he battled with depression he was a jolly person deep down. He will be missed. Before he died he was in the hospital he told my grandfather, "I am going to beat this thing." Kiki you did. You beat this. You are no longer held back by the prison that was your body. You really beat it. I love you and miss you terribly.

Starting a Business

My husband is starting an insulation business. It is called Worker's United. He gave it that name because he felt that on the job it takes a team to get something done.  He has been an insulation technician for over 10 years. Finally he decided that he wanted to not just work for somebody but to work for himself. Well I was so excited about his plans. I too want more for him. Insulating is some hard work folks. Let me tell you though the process is nerve racking. First we needed to save a lot of money. He was able to reach his goal faster with the help of some friends. Then he needed to pay for insurance, registration and for the license, build a website, pay for a service that finds leads and the list goes on and on. I tell you that if you ever want to make money you have to give money. But in the end I think this is going to be an extremely rewarding experience. Something that he created with his own hands. I'm officially his at home secretary until things take off the ground. I just pray that he'll be successful. I'm so proud of him and his accomplishments.

No Smoky No Blast

I am writing a review of a new make up product I brought. CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast. I purchased the one with the pink and brown applicator tips. I was excited to see how it would look on me. I noticed how pretty Drew Barrymore looked in the commercial supposedly wearing this product. LOL! Let me just say that it is obvious to anyone that purchases this product and uses it that Drew is not wearing the product. First off the pink barely showed on my skin. The brown hardly either. I don't know if they were trying to go for sheer or what but that was a big disappointment. The tips are way to thick to apply under your eyes. They should have been made thinner. It creases in your eyelids like crazy and wears off in no time. Then the pink tip broke off. The very day I bought the stupid thing! Don't waste your money folks you'll be disappointed. I get better results just using regular eyeshadow and doing the smoky eye with that. Drew shame on you! LOL!
